Chapelle de Barbe 2015
Chapelle de Barbe 2015
Bordeaux Supérieur
Built in 1706, this chapel housed a wood fire guiding sailors at the entrance to the Gironde estuary. The path leading to it was then used for the landing of wine barrels. Paying homage to this sanctuary, this Bordeaux Supérieur primarily honors Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon. Very expressive, it reveals a balance full of freshness, carried by a long finish: the ideal companion for grilled meats or a roasted chicken.
The colour of this Bordeaux Supérieur 2015 anticipates the explosive bouquet of black fruit berries featuring blackcurrant and blueberry, along with some hints of delicate flowers. It is fleshy and full in the mouth while having a touch of liveliness. The ensemble therefore has good fresh balance to go with the nice length on the palate and beautifully adds the finishing touches to this very expressive wine.
